Singapore Trade Mark Filing & Prosecution Requirements

Minimum Requirements for Obtaining a Filing Date
(Convention applications must be filed within 6 months of the earliest priority date - not extendible)

  • Applicant's name, address, nationality and State of incorporation (if appropriate)
  • Specimen of mark (for colour mark, please provide 3 specimens or send jpg version via email. If the mark is not in English, a verified translation into English and/or transliteration of the mark should be furnished at filing or shortly after..
  • If priority claimed, date and country of filing of priority application.
  • List of Goods or Services to be protected and, preferably, their International Classification(s).

    After Filing in Singapore*

  • If the mark is not in English, a verified translation into English (if it has a meaning) and a transliteration of the mark if it is not in the Roman alphabet.
  • A certified copy of the priority application
  • If the priority document is not in English, a sworn translation into English (we can prepare this for you)
