Where can I get funding to pay for the protection of my idea, design or trade mark?
Important Disclaimer

Funding is a perennial problem for single inventors, start up companies and small and expanding businesses alike and is generally available from three major sources.

Government Funding
Quite often, the best place to start is Government funding. Many Governments offer incentives for businesses to develop new products or to expand. For links to or details of the Government funding available in Lloyd Wise countries, click here.

Venture Capital
The second major area of funding is from venture capital companies. These are companies that usually provide funds in exchange for share options which is a good arrangement for start-up or rapidly expanding companies.

Loans
The third major source of revenue is of course bank loans and you should contact your local banks and other lending houses for information.

Private or Charitable Investment
In addition, funds can be available from private investors or from charitable funds, if your technology is relevant to their cause.
